I'm missing him an he's not even gone yet.
I'm fearing his life an he's not even over there yet?

I started this Blog because my husband has tried to get me interested in other possible organizations

to help busy my mind.  I guess I thought maybe a blog would be helpful since I'm frenquently on my

computer or ipad.

I'm looking for any advice from any Mom like myself that has or is going through the same concerns

that I am.

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm very proud of my son for his goals, acheivement an for the

all the services that he is providing to his country.

I too have personal views about the war but I'm not sure that it would be wise for me to discuss them

on my blog.   I'd rather use it as a link for helping Moms like myself that are going through a very

stressful time an for their family members to also seek advice from other resourcful websites.

Here's a little about me....

I am a self employed secretary for our personal business. I'm a grandma of 4 beautiful grandchildren.

I hoping that this Blog will be very resourceful when I'm having times of need to talk or read all of

your thought an experiences to my blog needs.

Much Thanks to all those experienced Moms or family also struggling with my emotions.

Thank You an I hope to hear from you soon,

Mom of a Deploying Son in May of 2012

It's just a matter of week days an my son will be

    deploying to Afghanistan.

My fears are only becoming more real. I just don't

Know how Mom's, or families deal with this every

day concern of the possible phone call that their

loved one has been hurt or possibly even worse.

I'm just not cut out for this...

  4. Its very hard kori, you will worry and stress no matter what...because thats our nature as women. When james was deployed what helped alot was heating his voice, I figured if I heard his voice he was ok. We exchanged letters, cards, pictures and web cam chats frequently. That eased my mind alot the.back and forth communication....he also loved my care packages :)

    1. Ashley,

Thank You so much for your words of encouragement.

I'm looking so forward to him calling while he is gone. Just as you said, I feel it will give me so much reassurance that he is doing well.
He has promised me " Mom " that we will Skype very often.

I'm pretty worried I'll do something to the Skype call when it comes in because I haven't much ( Skype ) experience.

Letters I will cherish as I only got one from my son during basic training. It wasn't easy for him to always find time to write home while training.
When he was there he also needed to write his wife an other family members. We received many phone calls though.

The holidays were the hardest times as we are a very close family. He should be home by Christmas as we will remain very
      H O P E F U L

My son's wife is also in the Military so their communication will be limited to a certain time of the day.

I promise to keep everyone informed that I have heard from him an that he is well.

Please keep writing or dropping in on my blog for update. I'm sure I'll need your support,
